New species are described using molecular and morphological methods, enhancing understanding of Onycholabis diversity.
Three new species of the genus Onycholabis Bates, 1873 are described, O. hainanus Bolkiboev & Liang, sp. nov . from Hainan; O. tengjhihensis Bolkiboev & Liang, sp. nov ., and O. cheni Bolkiboev & Liang, sp. nov . from Taiwan, based on morphological comparisons and molecular analyses. Illustrations of habitus and genitalia with distribution maps are presented for the new species. A key to the nine known Onycholabis species is compiled, and a phylogenetic tree based on the barcode COI is provided.
