Proposed approach derives best proximity points in cyclic mappings, suggesting solutions for integro-differential equations.
We propose a new class of cyclic (noncyclic) Mizoguchi-Takahashi condensing mappings and derive conditions ensuring the existence of best proximity points (pairs) using measure of noncompactness. The results obtained are further applied to investigate the solution of a system of second order integro-differential equations with two initial conditions.
