Analyzes technology trends in manufacturing, focusing on cloud systems and digital transformation implications.
The rapid advancement of information technology, including digital, networked, and intelligent technologies, is profoundly transforming manufacturing. Innovations such as cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and product data management (PDM) are central to this evolution and serve as a driving force behind the new industrial revolution. This paper systematically analyses intelligent manufacturing trends and examines the deep integration of manufacturing with advanced information technology, proposing two key modes: smart manufacturing (SM) and intelligent manufacturing (IM). It provides an overview of cloud ERP, MES, and PDM systems and their technological development directions. Cloud-Based Production Control systems will continue to play a vital role in the future, becoming increasingly intelligent, secure, and sustainable, thereby strongly supporting the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the manufacturing industry.
