Demonstrates AI-assisted curriculum development in students, highlighting innovative teaching methods.
This collection contains ten AI-assisted educational design artifacts developed in June 2024 using ChatGPT. The materials are preserved as early examples of human–AI collaboration in curriculum development and instructional design.Using the Israeli–Palestinian conflict as a complex case study, the lessons guide students through negotiation theory, conflict analysis, international law, empathy development, perspective-taking, policy design, role-playing simulations, and consensus-building. Rather than teaching a particular political position, the collection demonstrates how generative AI can be used to construct layered learning experiences that require critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and the evaluation of multiple perspectives. The artifacts are archived as part of Lesson 8, “Reading AI Writing,” in the Grading AI Writing curriculum. Students are encouraged to examine the documents not only for their content, but also as examples of early AI-assisted educational design. The collection illustrates how human guidance, prompting, organization, and instructional intent shape AI-generated outputs into coherent learning sequences. These materials are preserved as historical artifacts documenting the emergence of AI-assisted curriculum development during the early adoption period of generative AI in education.
