This article highlights one of the most pressing issues in modern virology and oncology – oncoviruses and vaccination against them. The study analyzes the cellular mechanisms of carcinogenesis caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV), as well as the global efficacy of vaccines currently in use. The role of prophylactic immunization programs in reducing the incidence of cervical cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma is demonstrated based on statistical data.
