Demonstrates improved gut permeability in participants using enzyme-rich rose-honey extraction.
This paper introduces a novel, two-stage bio-activation technology for organic sunflower seeds (Helianthus annuus) aimed at maximizing their therapeutic potential for intestinal barrier repair. While modern gastroenterology acknowledges the role of sunflower seed micronutrients in healing epithelial "tight junctions", raw seeds often exhibit low bioavailability due to anti-nutritional factors like phytic acid. We propose a preliminary extraction technique using an aqueous solution of Rosa spp. petals and natural honey. This matrix initiates enzymatic hydrolysis of phytates and micro-doses of hydrogen peroxide generation, acting as an elicitor for seed germination. The resulting product shows enhanced antioxidant stability and maximum mineral bio-accessibility, offering a validated functional food approach to treating Leaky Gut Syndrome.
