Interpretive Document Explores Structural Basin Properties in H I, Suggesting More Pre-Luminous Objects Exist.
This document interprets Cloud-9, a compact starless H I structure near M94, through the structural-maturity framework of USP Field Theory. The standard RELHIC / starless-halo interpretation remains the baseline. This paper does not replace Lambda-CDM, reionization physics, hydrostatic gas modeling, H I radiative transfer, or standard galaxy-formation simulations. The USP contribution is interpretive and test-facing: Cloud-9 is treated not as a failed galaxy by default, but as a possible pre-luminous structural basin — a system whose gravitational and gas structure may exist before sustained stellar locking begins. The document defines operational proxies including: Omega_dyn^HI = V_HI / R_HI Delta f_dyn^HI = V_HI / (2 pi R_HI) B_struct = M_200 / M_HI It also introduces a basin-locking threshold for stellar ignition: eta_star = (C_grav C_cool C_shield) / (D_UVB D_ram D_turb) where gravitational confinement, cooling, and self-shielding compete against ultraviolet background, ram pressure, and turbulence. The central prediction explored here is population-level: if pre-luminous structural basins are real, Cloud-9-like systems should be more common than current optical detections suggest. Many may remain invisible or underdetected because they contain little or no stellar light, weak H I cores, or gas below present survey sensitivity. Improved 21-cm surveys, deeper optical/NIR imaging, and structural inference methods should reveal more such objects. This paper is not presented as evidence for black-hole reversal or primordial reemergence. Cloud-9 is instead positioned as a local, quiet, cold H I/dark-structure candidate relevant to structural maturity, hidden basins, and dark-sector taxonomy.
