Final audit confirms H1 detector desynchronization origins, emphasizing geomagnetic effects on performance.
This deposit contains the final technical audit report (Audit #4) thatconcludes the investigation into the persistent desynchronisation of theLIGO Hanford detector (H1) with respect to the UAT metric. Four independent analyses were performed on public LIGO O4a/O4b data andthe UAT-VASCO catalogue: 1. Multi-day SVR sweep (H1 vs L1 over consecutive days).2. Wet-vs-dry seasonal comparison (testing water as a viscous contrast medium).3. Geomagnetic activity correlation (planetary Kp index, 5848 real records).4. Magnetic projection scanner (angle between each detector and the Earth's north magnetic pole, IGRF-13 model). Key findings:- The SVR is independent of global geomagnetic storms (Kp, r = -0.25).- The SVR is significantly modulated by the geometric alignment between the detector and the geomagnetic dipole axis (r = +0.38, p < 0.05).- H1 is not malfunctioning; it is geometrically disadvantaged by its unfavourable angular projection with respect to the magnetic pole.- Environmental factors (water, humidity) amplify the signal but are not the primary driver.- Four falsifiable predictions are formulated for future validation.
