Case report shows longitudinally extensive transverse myelitis in a farmer, indicating a rare neurological condition.
A 54-year-old farmer presented with a 5-day history of progressively worsening right leg weakness, truncal dysesthesia, and 1 day of painless urinary retention, without systemic symptoms.Examination revealed flaccid, areflexic right lower limb monoparesis, preserved truncal sensation, and diminished anal sphincter tone.Spinal MRI demonstrated an asymmetric longitudinally extensive T2 hyperintensity from T2 to T10 with conus and cauda equina root enhancement (Figure 1).
