This literature review seeks to explore the efficacy and impact that different educational modalities have on patient outcomes in the postoperative period following orthopedic surgeries. This review analyzed 11 studies ranging from 2018-2023 that to evaluate the impact of preoperative education systems including multidisciplinary education sessions, needs-based education, prehabilitation, etc. Results of this study aim to reveal which educational interventions have the strongest evidence for improving patient outcomes, such as pain and hospital length of stay in the postoperative period.
