Demonstrates the generation of metallic signatures in Diophantine approximation, suggesting new approaches in numerical analysis.
This paper introduces the Signature Dynamics Framework, a discrete dynamical system that algorithmically generates metallic signatures for Diophantine approximation within the Universal Metallic Family α(n,N)=n+√(n²+N). For a target constant T>0, the Signature Dynamics Map ΦT(n)=round(T²n) generates an orbit whose consecutive terms provide valid metallic signatures of T. The paper establishes a complete trichotomy for rational targets, proves an exact linear recurrence for quadratic irrational targets whose square is a Pisot number, derives explicit asymptotic growth formulas, and demonstrates exponentially improving signature quality. The framework is shown to be independent of classical continued-fraction theory through explicit counterexamples. The paper further computes and analyzes the signature languages associated with e and π, illustrating both the power and limitations of the method beyond the Pisot setting. Built upon the Universal Metallic Family and its connection to primitive Pythagorean triples, this work provides a new constructive mechanism for generating metallic signatures of provably improving quality and opens several new directions in Diophantine approximation and dynamical systems.
