This paper classifies the nonmetricity obstruction to Nieh–Yan identifiability in four-dimensional metric-affine geometry. It derives the rank-20 hook pairing, the projectively completed distortion sequence, and the full rank-signature phase diagram of the generalized Nieh–Yan family.
