Review explores links between Traditional Chinese Medicine diets and modern eating habits, suggesting health improvements.
High Resolution Image Download MS PowerPoint Slide As a profound and holistic medical system, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) serves not only to enhance physical fitness but also to facilitate disease management. In recent years, a rapid dietary shift toward high-fat and high-animal-protein patterns has exerted a notable adverse impact on public health. The present review explores the intrinsic links between TCM dietary philosophy and modern eating habits in China, exploring possible complementarities of TCM and diets. By capitalizing on the enduring value of TCM principles such as medicinal food homology, it puts forward a practical approach to embed TCM food culture into public health strategies. With a focus on scientific validation, individualization, and industrial integration, it proposes a conceptual framework for dietary health optimization.
