Case report finds improved diagnosis of complete hydatidiform mole with coexisting fetus, suggesting better early detection methods.
Complete hydatidiform mole with coexisting fetus (CHMC) represents a rare and clinically distinct subtype of molar pregnancy.Current diagnostic approaches primarily rely on early ultrasonographic examination combined with serial monitoring of serum levels of free β-human chorionic gonadotropin. However, the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography alone during early gestation remains suboptimal, and definitive diagnosis still requires histopathological confirmation and genetic analysis. This article presents a case of CHMCF that was accurately diagnosed at the 10th week of gestation through multimodal imaging combined with magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasonography. This case provides valuable insights for optimizing early diagnosis.
