This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of the Culturo-Techno-Contextual Approach (CTCA) in enhancing students’ achievement in the field of artificial intelligence when augmented with GenAI. This study, grounded in Vygotsky’s Social Constructivist Learning Theory, utilized a quasi-experimental research methodology that included 130 students, 69 and 61 students in the control and experimental groups, respectively. The Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) results indicated that the CTCA positively influenced students’ achievement in artificial intelligence (F (1, 121) = 94.182; p .05) and parent educational background (F (1, 121) = .093; p > .05). This study contributes to the literature on enhancing students’ learning outcomes by incorporating indigenous knowledge. Given the relatively small sample size, this study’s findings provide exploratory evidence, supporting the effectiveness of CTCA when augmented with GenAI. This leads the researchers to tentatively recommend its implementation, although further investigation is required.
