This randomized trial uncovers efficient charge transport in polymer semiconductors, indicating a breakthrough in performance trade-offs.
Precise donor–acceptor (D–A) engineering of diketopyrrolopyrrole‐based conjugated polymers enables balanced ambipolar transport alongside appreciable thin‐film emission. The optimized polymer delivers efficient charge transport and a high Φ · μ ₑ value, successfully breaking the conventional mobility–emission trade‐off. This work provides a general strategy for designing multifunctional polymer semiconductors for integrated optoelectronic applications. More details are discussed in the article by Chen et al . on pages 2500—2506.
