This research analyzes how interference influences aesthetic meaning in audiovisual performance, suggesting broader implications.
This research explores how interference is used as an element to generate aesthetic sense and meaning, amplifying and constructing its identity through the phenomenon known as feedback. Using as reference the work NO INPUT, created by the collective PDP11, we plan on analyzing the notion of interference in audiovisual performance. The images generated by subtle interferences, as well as the sounds obtained from them through a sonification process, acquire their own entity within a visual feedback loop. The article concludes by claiming that the aesthetic conditions presented by the images are thus related to the constant stream of images in social media. Lastly, some possible projections of the research are presented.
