Project Jörmungandr designs an ocean restoration architecture through autonomous and modular infrastructure, indicating a path for ecological recovery.
Project Jörmungandr is a complete, validated, and modular oceanic regeneration architecture designed to restore major oceanic basins through autonomous surface nodes, deep-sea static structures, and mobile mid-water drones. The project is designed as a public utility—permanent infrastructure for planetary repair, funded by public and philanthropic sources to provide a continuous public good. Key features: - Bio-Bubbles: Algal filtration for CO₂ drawdown, nutrient uptake, and microplastic capture - Skin Skimmers: Macroplastic removal from the neuston layer - Gandr Drones: Active mid-water plume suction for microplastic collection - SSS Crawlers: Benthic sediment vacuum for heavy metal recovery - PAP Protocol: Polluter identification and transparency via chemical fingerprinting The document includes: - Full systems architecture (12 self-contained modules) - Governance and Trust structure - Marine Mammal and Ecological Impact Assessment (MMEIA) - Phased budget and implementation timeline - Complete bibliography This document is Version 2.4, incorporating all peer review feedback and minor issue resolutions. It is ready for Phase 0 implementation. For more information, contact: Treg Robert Wells: treg_wells@yahoo.com
