Bronchial asthma (BA) remains an urgent problem that significantly impacts the quality of life of patients and the healthcare system. The diversity of clinical manifestations of this disease necessitates systematic recording and analysis of data. Patient registries are an effective tool for accumulating and structuring data, which provides a basis for management decisions. Objective. To study international and domestic experience in maintaining bronchial asthma patient registries and determine their role in optimizing medical care for patients. Materials and methods. An analysis of domestic and international registries of patients with BA published between 2012 and 2024 was carried out. Attention was paid to the main objectives of the registers, the variables they contain, which include demographic indicators, risk factors, severity of clinical and paraclinical symptoms, characteristics of treatment methods and their effectiveness, economic costs, etc. An assessment of the advantages, disadvantages and prospects for improvement of registries was performed. The following keywords were used in the literature search: «bronchial asthma», «registry», «personalized medicine». Results. Registries of patients with BA are organized systems for collecting, storing and analyzing data on patients with this disease. They contain information on demographic characteristics, clinical parameters, treatment methods, exacerbation rate, disease outcomes and quality of life of patients. Monitoring of the health status of patients and clinical outcomes of the disease is the main objective of such registries, which allows to control the course of the disease and the effectiveness of treatment at the population level. Registries can also be used to assess the cost-effectiveness of treatment, identify optimal therapeutic strategies and accelerate patient enrollment into studies. Limitations of registries include the lack of uniform standards, which complicates the comparison of results and the development of general recommendations. Conclusion. Further development of BA patient registries requires standardization and harmonization of data entry, integration with electronic medical records, expanded use of machine learning methods as well as participation of Russian registries in global research projects. These measures will not only improve the quality of medical care for patients, but also optimize the healthcare system, ensuring the availability of innovative treatment methods and effective disease control.
