Deliverable presents research on hardware and software for Edge AI, indicating innovative solutions for edge environments.
This deliverable (D5.5) presents the initial outcomes of Task 5.3, where project partners conduct research on innovative, resource-efficient hardware and software platforms tailored to the unique demands of modern and emerging Edge AI deployments. The work is organized around three thematic areas, each addressing distinct subproblems through targeted contributions from project partners. The document starts by introducing the three thematic areas, namely Retraining at the edge, Inference across diverse edge devices and hardware for emerging neuro-inspired technologies. For each of the thematic areas, we define the related problems and our contribution towards solving them. The document then presents each of the areas in detail as well as the results obtained by the project partners in subsequent sections. We conclude by listing the key contributions towards achieving the objectives of the task.
