Demonstrates a novel synthesis of γ-aryl-β-amino compounds, suggesting a new method for creating complex molecules.
A regioselective aminoacylation cascade of propargyl arylsulfonium salts with N -acylsulfonamides enables the generation of imino-substituted sulfur ylides I, which could conduct an acid-catalyzed aromatic [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement. This sulfur(IV)-mediated procedure provides a facile approach for the modular synthesis of a variety of γ-aryl-β-amino- α,β -unsaturated carbonyl compounds.
