This seminar paper examined the imperatives of agricultural credit guarantee scheme fund in operations of cooperative societies in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, specifically the work sought to; correlate the effect of loan guarantees from ACGSF, and evaluate the effect of fund sourcing by ACGSF in operations of cooperative societies in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. 304 respondents who are members of cooperative societies participated in survey exercise, the result of the analyzed data indicates that; there is a is a significant effect of loan guarantees from ACGSF in operations of cooperative societies, and also a significant effect of fund sourcing by ACGSF in operations of cooperative societies in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. the researcher recommends that; cooperative societies seek more financial empowerment through this credit scheme, there are programs and platforms that target cooperative societies directly, but this scheme will add more to their financial base, secondly, government should get cooperative societies more involved in the scheme, their resilience is well known all over the world, so will serve as a good platform in the realization of the objectives of the scheme
