Demonstrates the capability of nanofluidic spiking logics in solving various Boolean tasks, suggesting advancements in ionic computation.
Boolean algebra—both linearly inseparable and separable—of a spiking manner is essential for future event‐based ionic computation, which, nevertheless, remains an elusive goal. Inspired by the activation functions of biology, here we report the nanofluidic spiking logics based on emulating the coordination among ion channels. In addition to solving the linearly separable tasks for example, AND and OR, it can also solve the linearly inseparable XOR task, an indispensable primitive in modern artificial intelligence. Capable of performing multiple spiking‐based Boolean algebra, this work would be advantageous for executing complex nanofluidic computations in the future.
