Demonstrates effectiveness of adaptive fault-tolerant control in large-scale systems, indicating robust performance despite uncertainties.
In this article, we consider the decentralised adaptive output-constrained fault-tolerant control problem for a general class of large-scale stochastic nonlinear systems with asymmetric dead-zones. A well-designed auxiliary function and the corresponding adaptive law are proposed to handle unknown subsystem interactions by using local information only. A novel tuning function based adaptive backstepping framework without over-parametrization is established to deal with mismatched parametric uncertainties. By virtue of bound estimation, an adaptive compensation approach is developed against unknown asymmetric dead-zones coupled with Markovian jump actuator failures, in which the transition rates of Markovian processes are allowed to be partially unknown or even totally unavailable. Additionally, a nonlinear state-dependent function is employed to constrain subsystem outputs. Besides ensuring all the closed-loop signals bounded in probability, it is also shown that the tracking error approaches to a small residual set in the sense of first moment while output constraints are satisfied. The effectiveness of our developed method is demonstrated through a simulation example.
