Investigates electrochromic performance in WSe2/WO3 nanocomposites, suggesting advancements in smart materials.
In this study we investigates the synthesis and electrochromic properties of WSe 2 /WO 3 nanocomposites, and explore it’s potential as a smart materials in various type of applications. The nanocomposite of tungsten diselenide (WSe 2 ) and tungsten trioxide (WO 3 ) shows high optical modulation, stability, and superior electronic conductivity as compared with presitine WO₃. The nanocomposite was synthesized using a exfoliation of Wse 2 in WO 3 , resulting in a layered structure that enhances ion intercalation and electron transport. Electrochromic characterization revealed significant improvements in switching speed and optical contrast compared to pure WO₃. The WSe₂/WO₃ nanocomposite demonstrated rapid color change and exceptional durability, making it a promising candidate for next-generation electrochromic applications. This work highlights the potential of 2D materials in enhancing the performance of traditional electrochromic systems and suggests pathways for future research into scalable synthesis and device integration.
