Although inference is applaudable while fallacy is assumed culpable, both are the same cognitive faculty. The different appearance is a matter of epistemic la, uck of agency, in tight connection with a convenient arbitrariness of perceived reality. Conversely, when that arbitrariness collapses, strictly useful knowledge promises both salvation and coercion.
