Retraction highlights concerns over data overlap and reliability in the published article, impacting outcomes.
The Editors have retracted this article. After publication, concerns were raised regarding overlap between this article and another published article (DOI: 10.1186/s12967-024-05840-1) by the same group, including overlap of quantitative data and figures. Subsequent assessment found that certain sections of the article overlap with the other publication, including duplicate images, verbatim text and identical reported outcome values. Following publication, the Editor in Chief reviewed the concerns raised and the authors’ responses. On the basis of this review, the journal has not been able to establish the reliability of certain data and images reported in the article, which calls into question the validity of the corresponding conclusions. This retraction is issued to ensure the accuracy of the scientific record. The authors have been informed of this decision and do not agree to the retraction.
