Demonstrates new parameter-augmented q-distribution, indicating broader applicability in statistics.
In this paper, we introduce the method of parameter augmentation for Lindley-type q -distribution, inspired by Imed and Mouna [ The Lindley q -distribution: properties and simulations , Ric. Mat. 74 (2025), no. 2, 703–718] and Wang’s work [ A new probability distribution with applications , Pacific J. Math. 247 (2010), 241–255]. In addition, we define two parameter-augmented probability density functions and deduce Lindley-type q -means, q -variance and q -cumulative distribution functions, which generalize results of Imed and Mouna.
