Observational constraints derive AGL effective field theory parameters from cosmic void lensing measurements, indicating implications for cosmology.
We derive and apply observational constraints on the Adiabatic Geometric Leveling(AGL) eective eld theory [1] using published measurements of weak gravitational lens-ing around cosmic voids. The AGL model predicts a scale-factor-dependent amplication ofthe void lensing signal, κAGL(θ) = μeff (a) κΛCDM(θ), where μeff (a) = 1+2nQ0/(3ΩM ) an+3 isderived from the separate-universe approximation applied to Postulate 6 of the AGL frame-work. We show that Q0 = 0.70 is compatible with Big Bang Nucleosynthesis constraints(¯ρa(aBBN)/ρrad ≈ 7 × 10−46 ≪ 2.3%) because the condensate density scales as an and isnegligible at early times. Comparing AGL predictions against the stacked void lensing mea-surements of Clampitt & Jain (2015) [3] (N ≈ 20 000 voids, SDSS DR7, z ∈ [0.16, 0.37]) andHamaus et al. (2016) [4] (N = 3 228 voids, BOSS DR11, z ∈ [0.43, 0.70]), we nd that bothdatasets are consistent with ΛCDM (μbest ≈ 1.004 in both cases). This yields 95% upperlimits of μAGL(z = 0.26) < 1.095 and μAGL(z = 0.57) < 1.146, translating to Q0 < 0.107for n = 1 and Q0 < 0.361 for n = 0.25. The ducial parameters of a companion analysis(Q0 = 0.70, n = 1) exceed the 95% limit; Q0 = 0.70 with n = 0.25 also exceeds it marginally.
