This study constructs a standardized supply side system equation and calculates the relevant parameters of substitution elasticity and technological progress bias. The results reveal that digitalization of enterprises has a promoting effect on the labor income share. These results were validated through an empirical analysis using data from Chinese listed enterprises. In the mechanism discussion, we found that digitalization exerts a positive effect on labor income share through employment creation effect. Considering that Chinese listed enterprises are still in the early stages of digitalization, we found that excessive digital cost investment has a crowding out effect on the labor income share. Furthermore, we found that enterprise digitalization helps improve information disclosure and has a stronger promoting effect on the labor income share of enterprises facing financing difficulties and non-standard management behavior.
