Key result
Global analysis explores regional health status differences in HFmrEF and HFpEF but reports no results.
Why the study?
Despite increasing Asian enrollment in global clinical trials, data on geographic variation in health-related quality of life among patients with HFmrEF/HFpEF remain limited, particularly across Asian countries.
Observational
Yes
Regional differences in health status among Asian HFmrEF/HFpEF patients may limit trial generalizability; leaves open questions on cultural and healthcare-system contributors.
Heart failure with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction (HFmrEF/HFpEF) is a growing public issue across Asia.1 Patients with HFmrEF/HFpEF experience substantial impairment in health status, making health-related quality of life (HRQoL) a key patient-centered outcome. In recent years, clinical trials of HFmrEF/HFpEF have undergone globalization, with a growing proportion of participants enrolled from Asia. Despite this shift, data on geographic variation in HRQoL remain limited, particularly among Asian countries.2, 3, 4, 5 Accordingly, we investigated regional differences in perceived health status among HFmrEF/HFpEF using data from three global trials.

Hamatani et al. (2026) conducted an observational in Heart failure with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction (HFmrEF/HFpEF). Geographic region was evaluated on Perceived health status (HRQoL). An investigation into regional differences in perceived health status among patients with HFmrEF/HFpEF using data from three global trials was conducted, but no results are reported in the abstract.
