In dramatic literature, plot structure, themes, language, techniques, and style are critical components that communicate the playwright’s thoughts, intentions, and social vision to the audience. It is on this note that the researcher deems it imperative to critically interrogate the uses of plot elements, thematic thrust, language, and, of course, techniques and style deployed in Ola Rotimi’s If… A Tragedy of the Ruled. In achieving the aim and objectives of this work, the researcher em
