SYNOPSIS An account is given of eight species of Esthiopterum parasitic on cranes, and the three species‐groups into which they are divided are characterised. Four of the species are described as new, redescriptions are given of the remainder, and a key for their separation is included. The affinities of the genus and host‐parasite relationships are discussed.
