This model predicts technology and information growth dynamics in five sectors, highlighting Africa's potential by 2035.
Human progress is not driven by bigger brains or better tools. It is driven by the rate at which informationis converted from frozen to active states. We propose Thermoeconomic Information Theory: Technologygrows according to economic constraints of capital, labor, and energy. Information grows according tothermodynamic constraints of energy, entropy, and combination. The two are coupled by a time-lag τ .Using this model we make 5 falsifiable predictions to 2055 and derive strategic policy for 5 governmentsuper-sectors. We show that while the United States leads today, the continent of Africa possesses theunique combination of untapped energy and untapped information required to win the race to 2055 if itacts before 2035.
