This scoping review aims to map the current landscape of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-based therapies for systemic autoimmune diseases, with a focus on systemic sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus and idiopathic inflammatory myopathies. The review will provide an overview of the types of CAR-based therapeutic platforms investigated and the distribution and characteristics of studies conducted for each therapeutic approach. In addition, data on safety outcomes will be extracted and charted, including adverse events and treatment-related risks. To provide a forward-looking overview of the field, we will also search grey literature and clinical trial registries, such as ClinicalTrials.gov, to identify ongoing and planned studies. The objective is to map existing evidence, identify areas of research activity and highlight gaps, rather than to assess effectiveness or draw conclusions on the quality of evidence.
