A situated experiential learning framework for human-AI collaborative mentoring of interns in learning management practices

Human-AI collaborative mentoring has significant potential to improve interns’ experiential learning in diverse management situations by harnessing the expertise of human mentors and the advancements in AI. This study expands on theories of situated learning and experiential learning by developing Situated Experiential Learning Theory (SELT) and proposing a theoretical framework of the collaborative mentoring based on SELT. This framework aims to facilitate the interns’ learning process and ultimately foster desired learning outcomes. The conclusion highlights key implications and offers a future research agenda.
