As of now there is very little in the way of personal protection for crews. The limited protections in current orbiting habitats are insufficient for deep space and extra-territorial exploration. A night mask/hood with a high density thermoplastic radiation shielding will protect crew’s vision and allow more restful sleep. The second component is a high density multi-layered Demron lined sleeping bag for more full body protection. The third component is a vest/light jacket for everyday wear. Total radiation exposure can be cut by at least 33%.
