The water distilled oil from the flowers of Rosa Kazanlik L.and Rosa gallica L. were analyzed by capillary gas chromatography, using flame ionization detector (GC-FID) and capillary gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) detection. citronellol (29.5 %), nonadecane (16.3 %), heneicosane (13.5 %) tricosane(5.3 %), (Z)-5-nonadecee (3.2 %) and methyleugenol (3.1 %) were the main components among the seventy-six constituents characterized in the oil of R. Kazanlik, representing 99.4 % of the total components detected. Fourty nine compounds were identified in the oil of R. gallica, representing 99.7 % of the total oil, with citronellol (39.6 %), nonadecane (15.3 %), heneicosane (13.2 %), tricosane (7.4 %), pentacosane (5.4 %) and phenylethyl alcohol (3.1 %) as the main constituents.
