Gohar Albady (2016) conducted an RCT in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (n=60). Low volume high intensity interval exercise vs. Traditional moderate intensity exercise (25 minutes, 3 sessions per week) was evaluated on Nitric oxide (p=< 0.05). Low volume high intensity interval exercise improved nitric oxide levels significantly more than traditional moderate intensity aerobic exercise (P<0.05 within groups).
