Benchmark suite evaluates a wave-based framework for cosmic structure formation across various astrophysical regimes.
ESF v1.0 Reference Benchmark Suite This repository contains the reference benchmark implementations accompanying the paper A Canonical Wave Framework for Cosmic Structure Formation. The Entropic Spacetime Field (ESF) is presented as a unified wave-based framework for investigating cosmic structure formation using a single canonical equation and a frozen parameter set. Rather than introducing different mechanisms for different astrophysical regimes, the benchmark suite explores whether one consistent framework can reproduce characteristic behaviour across the primordial plasma, filamentary structure formation, compact coherent objects, weak-field gravity, and vacuum wave propagation. The repository provides a reproducible ESF v1.0 reference implementation consisting of seven independent benchmarks: Plasma-era benchmark Filament formation benchmark Wave-momentum flux benchmark Compact-object benchmark Weak-field recovery benchmark Parametrised post-Newtonian (PPN) benchmark Vacuum propagation benchmark All benchmarks use the same canonical framework and parameter set, differing only in their initial conditions or geometry. The accompanying scripts, figures and data are intended to provide a consistent reference implementation for independent analysis, verification and future development. This software accompanies the first public ESF v1.0 release and is provided as a reproducible computational benchmark suite rather than a finished physical theory. The accompanying paper identifies the framework's empirical assumptions, current limitations and open questions to support further investigation by the wider scientific community.
