Measurements of the autospectra of the fluctuating wall shear stress and wall pressure in a fully developed turbulent boundary layer at Reynolds numbers R θ =8200 and 13,400 are presentated. The measurements were made in the Quiet Water Tunnel at the Naval Systems Center. Use of this facility enabled a direct comparison of the spectral levels of both quantities to be made at low frequencies. The frequency ranges over which the pressure and shear stress spectra are accurately resolved are discussed.
