Demonstrates advanced extracellular matrix hydrogels enhance organoid formation and drug screening.
The human liver carries out critical functions in metabolism and immune regulation. Replicating its extracellular matrix landscape is central to tissue and disease modeling. The dominance of Matrigel ® in tissue culture and organoid formation is increasingly being rivaled by decellularized liver extracellular matrix-derived hydrogels as promising alternatives that preserve the inherent complexity of their natural counterparts, thereby advancing hepatic organoid formation and maturation as well as high-throughput drug screening.
