Fluorine substitution on the calcium-deficient apatites resulted in the formation of fluorine-substituted biphasic ceramics of different F-HAP and β-TCP ratios upon calcination at 1200 °C. The higher degree of calcium deficiency in the apatites have made a stronger impact on the increased formation of β-TCP in the biphasic mixtures.
