Demonstrates enhanced H2O2 production in TiO2 composites, suggesting a novel photocatalytic approach.
The representative TiO 2 ‐based photocatalysts for H 2 O 2 production remain fundamentally limited by the sluggish kinetics of proton‐electron coupling transfer (PECT). Herein, a novel composite of defect‐rich MgAl‐LDH nanosheet‐modified TiO 2 (dMAL/T) has been rationally designed via a facile electrostatic self‐assembly strategy. The dMAL enriched with surface hydroxyl groups promotes proton transport through hydrogen spillover, which unlocks the limitation of proton supply in the PECT step. Notably, the dMAL/T photocatalyst exhibits a high H 2 O 2 production rate of 1.576 mmol g −1 h −1 under Xe lamp irradiation, which is about 2.5 times higher than that of bare TiO 2 . This work provides a novel strategy for developing efficient photocatalysts by leveraging hydrogen‐spillover‐mediated interfacial synergy.
