Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome was evaluated in a cohort of 48 children to delineate the incidence, natural history, and clinical problems associated with the lesion.
This paper presents a case series of 48 children with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome to describe its incidence and natural history.
The most extensive is that of Schiebler et al. (1959a), presenting 28 cases who were first seen under the age of 16 years. Our paper, by presenting a group of 48 children, is intended to delineate further its incidence, natural history, and the problems associated with the lesion. No attempt will be made to elaborate on the anatomy and physiology of the pre-excitation syndrome.
Swiderski et al. (1962) studied this question. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome was evaluated in a cohort of 48 children to delineate the incidence, natural history, and clinical problems associated with the lesion.
