Inelastic polarized neutron scattering measurements have been performed on the antiferromagnetic chain compound (CD3)4NMnCl3(TMMC). For the first time, the soliton fluctuations have been analysed both in wave vector and frequency. A dynamical damping of the soliton modes has been found, which can be attributed to the effects of collisions between solitons and between solitons and magnons. A renormalization of the soliton amplitude is also observed which could result from soliton-soliton and soliton-magnon interactions as expected theoretically.
