Transparent, flexible, lithium ion conducting, freestanding, solid polymer electrolyte for solid state devices is developed based on polydimethylsiloxane, poly(ethylene oxide) and LiClO ₄ , and the salting in phenomenon resulting in the amorphisation of the polymer matrix is established.
