Demonstrates improved simulation accessibility in electrochemical research, suggesting enhanced user engagement.
High Resolution Image Download MS PowerPoint Slide Cyclic voltammetry (CV) is a foundational electrochemical technique for probing reaction mechanisms. However, mechanistic interpretation becomes increasingly challenging as systems incorporate multiple coupled chemical and electrochemical steps. Existing simulation tools either restrict users to predefined mechanisms, require programming expertise, or necessitate navigating and interpreting complex user interfaces, resulting in a trade-off between interpretability and usability. Here, we present the Mechanism Assistant and Graph Interface for Cyclic Voltammetry (MAGICV), a web-based platform that enables intuitive, graphical construction and simulation of arbitrarily complex electrochemical reaction networks. MAGICV translates user-drawn mechanisms into graph-based representations that can be deployed across multiple simulation engines, including COMSOL, DigiSim, ecsim, and ElectroKitty. It improves the accessibility to advanced CV simulation and provides a flexible platform for mechanistic exploration, hypothesis testing, and electrochemical education.
