This project develops dynamic-responsive molecular basket sorbents to enhance carbon capture efficiency, suggesting a novel approach in material design.
Solid amine-based molecular basket sorbents (MBS) hold immense promise for carbon capture, yet traditional systems suffer from high regeneration penalties and urea-induced thermal degradation. To address these challenges, this project aims to develop a class of dynamic-responsive MBS. By integrating stimulus-responsive dynamic covalent chemistry into porous silica-supported polyamine frameworks, intelligent adaptive polymer networks will be constructed. These systems are proposed to concurrently enhance degradation resistance and enable reversible network restructuring under multi-trigger, thereby achieving energy-efficient, low-temperature carbon dioxide capture and release.
