Hu et al. (2008) studied Cardiac fibrosis. LOX-1 knock-out or anti-LOX-1 antibody vs. Wild-type and untreated cardiac fibroblasts was evaluated on Collagen synthesis and NADPH oxidase expression. TGFβ1-mediated increase in collagen synthesis and reactive oxygen species formation in mouse cardiac fibroblasts was markedly attenuated by LOX-1 knock-out or anti-LOX-1 antibody treatment.
